We are 100 days away until the start of the biggest extreme sports festival in this part of Europe, Pannonian Challenge. The 20th edition of the festival was announced at Gallery Kazamat, a place where every year the best entertainment in the region begins. This year, over 300 top athletes from all over the world will come to Pannonian, and the novelty is that the festival lasts one day longer. From June 5th to June 9th some of the best names of local and regional music scene like Hladno pivo, Let 3, Krankšvester, Atheist rap, Debeli precjednik and others will entertain us on the music part of the festival.
Great atmosphere is guaranteed at the opening party where besides great music all the fans will be able to see an exhibition of actions sports photography. The opening party will be held in the backyard of Gallery Kazamat. The entrance to the sports section of the festival is free.
The novelty is that the festival is included in the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) calendar, and the Pannonian Challenge has become the international competition of the C1 category, in which participants of the BMX freestyle discipline will be able to gather points for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Thus, their arrival to the competition was confirmed by the big BMX names like last year’s winners Irek Rizaev, Jack Clark and Declan Brookes. There are also household names of INLINE scene – Joe Atkinson, Diego Guilloud, Stephane Alfano and domestic force Tin Hadžiomerspahić, as well as last year’s winner in SKATE category Timotej Lampe Ignjić and many others.
But before the start of the festival, the best equipped skate park in the region will again host national bicycle teams that announced their arrival. Before the festival, the Hungarian, Russian and French national teams will prepare in our skatepark, and their representatives will gather points for the Olympics on the Pannonian Challenge.

The Pannonian Challenge is certainly one of the most famous events in Osijek and the region, and that it has become a true brand of the city is also highlighted by Deputy Mayor Žana Gamoš:
